Creep is an oil painting on paper born from a return to painting after almost two decades away from the medium.
The work looks back at the years of rebellion and transformation experienced by CHAKAL while living in Spain, surrounded by the energy of urban tribes, underground scenes, and a generation searching for its own identity.
In Creep, the human figure becomes something else — something closer to an insect, caught between vulnerability, aggression, desire, and transformation. It is a reflection on youth, identity, and the strange creatures we become while trying to find our place in the world.
Painted in 2026, Creep marks the beginning of CHAKAL's return to oil painting and establishes a visual language shaped by his experience as both a painter and tattoo artist.
